When the hospital was designed and opened in 1976 the entry doors opened up to meet a reception desk and area to greet patients and visitors in a more welcoming way. In later years it was covered in to become a switchboard area with just a small window to greet people as they entered the main lobby. We brought the  reception area back to a more up-to-date version of the original design.
